VA Palo Alto Health Care System hosted the 2019 Mental Health Summit on Friday, September 13, 2019, at the U.S. Army 63rd Regional Support Command Headquarters in Mountain View, California.

The event, appropriately taking place during September — Suicide Prevention Month, brought together Veterans, local mental health organizations, government agencies and key stakeholders with the goal of enhancing access to mental health services, and addressing mental healthcare needs of Veterans and their family members residing in our area.

Suicide is a complex public health issue that affects communities nationwide, but it is preventable. Communities everywhere are encouraged to support suicide prevention efforts during this Suicide Prevention Month and all year long.
