VA Begins Direct Deposit Program

Friday, March 8, 2013

As part of our commitment to providing you world-class healthcare and services, and to comply with Department of Treasury requirements to process payments by electronic funds transfer (EFT), the VA Palo Alto Health Care System has begun implementing Department of Treasury requirements for EFT payment processing, including payments for beneficiary travel and compensated work therapy.

To avoid the Beneficiary Travel line and save your time, here is what you'll need to do:

  • Read the Frequently Asked Questions.
  • Complete the Direct Deposit Enrollment Form.
  • Submit the form by:
    • In-person submission to the Admissions & Eligibility Office at your next appointment; or
    • Fax it to our secure fax line at (650) 852-3286; or
    • Mail it to:
VA Palo Alto Health Care System
      ATTN: Eric Jacobson (136A)
      3801 Miranda Avenue
      Palo Alto, CA 94304

Once your information has been received and direct deposit goes into effect, you will be able to simply fill out a voucher form at the Beneficiary Travel window, turn it in to the Beneficiary Travel Office, and payment will be electronically deposited into your bank account within one to two business days.

Should you have any questions, please contact the Admissions & Eligibility Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at (650) 493-5000 ext. 66266.
