New 318,000 sq. ft. Ambulatory Care Center

ACC location map The new Ambulatory Care Center will feature VA's new Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) design to support a Veteran-centric model of care for outpatient PACT's team-based care design promotes staff collaboration in a flexible and adaptable concept. The PACT design also features state-of-the-art training and patient education spaces to promote group classes and collaboration. All clinical areas will be wired to support expansive telehealth programs.

The new Ambulatory Care Clinic will consist of:

  • Primary and specialty care clinics
  • Green design
  • Design will support PACT (Patient Aligned Care Team) and integrated Mental Health
  • Anticipated construction start: 2023

Exterior of the future Ambulatory Care Center:

The animation drives you down the main entrance and takes you to the future Ambulatory Care Center, a 318,000 square-foot facility that will house outpatient services, including primary care, prosthetics and specialty care clinical programs. The building is designed to maximize views of the Palo Alto foothills and daylight throughout the facility. The Ambulatory Care Center will truly be a state-of-the-art center of healing for Veterans.

Interior of the future Ambulatory Care Center:

The second video shows a preview of the new Ambulatory Care Center’s interior lobby space. The Ambulatory Care Center will feature a multi-story atrium. This space creates gathering areas for Veterans, families and visitors to support waiting, patient education and building a sense of community. Take note of the staircase to connect the garden level, 1st and 2nd floors.
