VA Palo Alto Health Care System
Construction in Stockton
Future Stockton Campus
To better serve Veterans closer to where they reside, the Livermore Realignment initiative will expand clinical services in Stockton and Fremont. A new 158,000 square foot Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) and 80-bed Community Living Center (CLC) will be built on a 52-acre land parcel located along Interstate 5, adjacent to the San Joaquin General Hospital.
Future Stockton Community-Based Outpatient Clinic
The new CBOC will feature the VA's Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) design that integrates mental health staff to promote collaboration in a flexible and adaptable concept that better serves Veterans. The PACT design also features state-of-the-art spaces for training and patient education to support group classes and expand telehealth services.
Anticipated construction completion: Summer 2022
Future Stockton Community Living Center
A primary component of the Livermore Realignment initiative will be the construction of a new Community Living Center adjacent to the clinic. Based on the “Green House” model, the new Community Living Center will feature eight 10-bed neighborhoods, each with private rooms and bathrooms. The neighborhoods will be beautiful residential facilities that feature a community kitchen and communal living and dining areas to support interaction and engagement. This new CLC design will promote an environment of healing and comfort.
