Ratings are the result of quality care and outstanding staffing.
Palo Alto, Calif. – VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) announces its newly released fiscal year 19, quarter-1 overall 5 out of 5 star ratings at Livermore and Palo Alto Community Living Centers (CLC), and 4 stars for Menlo Park CLC as a part of VA's CLC Compare (Community Living Centers) performance scores.
“Providing the best quality care in a comfortable home environment is our top priority for Veterans residing in VA nursing homes which we also refer to as Community Living Centers,” said VAPAHCS Director Thomas J. Fitzgerald III. “These ratings are the result of our highly trained staff who consistently show they care and are committed to our Veterans each and every day - we are grateful that Veterans express their appreciation.”
CLCs are designed to restore each Veteran to his or her highest level of well-being and comfort. Special events are also offered to residents such as art classes, birthday celebrations, and holiday festivities. Veterans may reside at the CLC for short or long term.
The Department of Veterans Affairs developed CLC Compare to provide a comparable rating system to summarize and compare performance of CLCs in the VA to private sector nursing homes participating in CMS Nursing Home Compare.
