VAPAHCS Domiciliary Services - Training

Overview

Training The Domiciliary Services at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) in Menlo Park offer an excellent training program for practicum students, interns, and postdoctoral fellows in psychology. The training programs are in the Homeless Veteran Rehabilitation Program (HVRP) (a residential 180-day program), the First Step Program (a residential 90-day substance abuse treatment program), and Addiction Consultation and Treatment (ACT).

The mission of the domiciliary is to provide homeless and/or substance-dependent Veterans a supportive environment with the goal of helping them return to optimal independent living.
