Western Blind Rehabilitation Center Research

Admission Information | The Program & Setting | Outcome Measures | Home

Research activities at the Western Blind Rehabilitation Center (WBRC) are designed to broadly support the clinical program by being a focal point for innovative developments. Through Research, new technology can be developed and integrated into the program, and more effective rehabilitation strategies can be created. Research serves as a conduit to bring new products and techniques into the clinical program so that we may offer program participants the highest quality rehabilitation. Research also plays a role in assessing the WBRC's outcomes to help ensure we maintain the highest standards.

Since its opening, the WBRC has published more than 200 journal articles, over a dozen book chapters, and contributed over 250 conference presentations. Staff members who work on WBRC research are frequently invited to present their work at national and international conferences.
